Ken McCullough was born in Staten Island, New York, but spent his formative years in St. John’s, Newfoundland and in Mississippi. He has lived in Winona, Minnesota since 1996. He is a graduate of St. Andrew’s School in Delaware, and has degrees from the University of Delaware and the Writers’ Workshop of the University of Iowa. Ken’s most recent book of poetry is Broken Gates
(his eighth) and he has received an Academy of American Poets award, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, and a Pablo Neruda award among others.
