Lisa Hochstein lives in Santa Cruz, California, and holds a BFA from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Her work draws on the allure of everyday materials that have been used and discarded. The degree to which the integrity of the found object is altered in the artmaking process is a recurrent question in her creative process. Lisa has completed artist residences at the Vermont Studio Center, Brush Creek Foundation, Ragdale Foundation, and the Hambidge Center.
