Ryuta Nakajima is a contemporary artist, independent curator, and product designer, who is Associate Professor of Art at the University of Minnesota—Duluth. Ryuta earned an MFA from the University of California, San Diego and has lived in the Far East, Middle East, Europe, and the U.S. His paintings and drawings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. In the recent years, his work has focused on the behavioral ecology of cephalopods particularly in the area of cuttlefish camouflage and body pattern.
