Tod Sylvester grew up near the Art Colony and spent endless hours watching the founders lecture and produce art. In 1977, he was awarded a scholarship to work with founder Birney Quick in watercolors. He is a tile setter by trade and has incorporated artful mosaics into his commercial and residential jobs. He has created and donated many mosaic pieces, most recently to WTIP radio and the Trout Lake Lodge.
