Jim Horton has practiced and instructed printmaking and graphic design for 43 years. His studio is in rural Ann Arbor, Mich. He is an honorary member of the Society of Wood Engravers in England. Jim has a keen interest in the history and use of mechanical printing devices and processes. Jim learned wood engraving from the remnants of one of the last commercial engraving companies (Sander) in Chicago. Jim helped to found an international group called the Wood Engravers’ Network.
