Amanda Degener has been making distinctive handmade paper under the name of Cave Paper since 1994. She was the founder of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, where she has served as an educator, its first artist-in-residence, and its first artistic director. Amanda received her MFA in Sculpture at Yale School of Art and her BA at Bennington College. She is cofounder of Hand Papermaking magazine. Amanda shows her handmade paper art work and conducts lectures and workshops nationally and internationally. Cave Paper was named the 2012 Minnesota Book Artist of the Year.
