Twelve percent of Cook County residents are hungry every month. Therefore, each year the Art Colony organizes the Empty Bowls Dinner & Silent Auction (on Nov. 14), a community art fund-raiser for the local food shelf. Paint colorful glazes onto pre-made bowls to donate to the event. Open to all levels and ages. A fun family experience that benefits a good cause.
