Figure Drawing & Artistic Anatomy
August 9-10, 2014; 2 days; 9am-4pm
Location: Founders Hall
Figure drawing is a visual arts tradition that provides the foundation of the representation of form. Develop your understanding and expression of the human form through drawing the nude model and studying artistic anatomy. Students will create loose, rapid, gestural drawings and more finished longer drawings from a live model, as well as a series of anatomical studies. Techniques of contour and gesture drawing, along with blocking and shading will be covered. Anatomical concepts important to the artist will be discussed. Open to artists 18 and older unless accompanied by/permission from a parent or guardian. Open to all levels of experience.
This class will be cancelled on Monday, August 4, 2014,
if minimum student enrollment has not been met. Please register before this date.
