Eco-Printing on Fabric: One-of-a-Kind Design
Sept. 22 - 26, 2014; 5 days; 9am - 4pm
Location: Founders Hall
Enjoy five luscious days on the North Shore celebrating the beauty of fall colors while creating your own one-of-a-kind fabrics. Students will print their own designs onto natural fiber fabrics using thickened Procion fiber reactive dyes. Connie will explore a variety of techniques, tools, and implements while instructing on mark-making, positive vs. negative space, layering of images and patterns, and the importance of color value. There will be individual and class discussions. Students will leave with basic knowledge of eco-friendly fabric printing and how to achieve desired results using dye.
This class will be cancelled on Monday, September 15, 2014,
if minimum student enrollment has not been met. Please register before this date.
