Light & Color: The Shifting Landscape Through Intaglio Printmaking
August 16-17, 2014; 2 days; 9am - 4pm
Location: Eco-Friendly Print Studio
Interpret the beauty of the North Shore through a variety of intaglio printmaking techniques. Students will spend the first day outdoors, interacting with the landscape by creating line drawings, followed by studio time spent translating their drawings into drypoint and collagraph plates. On the second day students will intaglio print in black and white and with color as they learn to manipulate ink to shift mood and content. Students will bring home a sizeable group of varied prints.
Class will be held outside for part of the first day. Please dress accordingly.
