Form & Surface: Alternative Hand-Building Approaches to Clay

Whether you are a beginner or you have experience in clay, Tonya will broaden your understanding of form and surface through hand building techniques. Students will design, construct, and work with molds and low relief stencils to create pots with generous, playful volume and low relief surface designs. Tonya will discuss glazing techniques and the relationship between form and surface, function and utility, and how to generate interest through contrast.
