Defining Values: Explore Light & Dark with Aquatint & Watercolor
June 23 - 25, 2014; 3 days; 9am - 4pm
Location: Eco-Friendly Print Studio
Understanding the use of light and dark enriches an artwork. Students will learn how to tap into artistic use of value through watercolor and aquatint printmaking. Instruction will begin by looking at methods of seeing and planning value studies. Dean will go on to show students how to use value design as the basis for intaglio prints using the aquatint process. The third day will be dedicated to exploring additional print methods and using colors in print.
