Decorative Techniques on Paper: Suminagashi and Orizomi
October 1, 2016; 9am - Noon
Location: Founders Hall
Suminagashi (marbling) and orizomi (fold dye) are two Japanese techniques for creating decorative paper. These techniques do not require complicated or expensive equipment and once learned can easily be done at home. The resulting papers can be used to make books, greeting cards, collages, and other craft projects.
This class is held in partnership with the Minnesota Center for Book Arts and is funded by a Minnesota State Arts Board grant.
