Ply split braiding is an age-old craft used by camel herders to make girths, straps, or bridles for their animals. Today this technique is used to make decorative pieces such as necklaces, belts, straps, and baskets. Students will make several braids in the process of learning various ply-splitting techniques. Cord kits and tools will be provided and available for purchase afterwards.

This class will be cancelled on Monday, February 9, 2015, if minimum enrollment is not met. Please register before this date.

This class is part of the Northern Fibers Retreat. Please see our events page here for more information: Northern Fibers Retreat.
