Youth: Handbuilding (ages 5 - 8)
October 26 - November 9, 2015; 3 Mondays; 4 - 5:30pm
Location: Clay Studio
Have you ever wondered where piggy banks came from? In the Middle Ages people used to store items such as salt in wide necked jars which were made from a clay called "pygg." The so called "pig" jar retained its name long after potters stopped using "pygg" clay to produce pottery. Join Melissa to learn more about the history of piggy banks, practice hand-building, and make your own piggy bank. For ages 5 – 8.
This class will be cancelled on Monday, October 23, 2015
, if minimum enrollment is not met. Please register before this date.
