Time and Memory in Poetry and Prose
June 17 - 18, 2017; 2 days; 9 am - 4 pm
Location: Eco-Friendly Print Studio
Kathryn will lead students to explore the relationship between time and memory, paying special attention to the way writers use the outline of past experience to shape present narrative action. Students will also delve into the process of creating layered narrative scaffolding and begin to explore the synergy that can occur in focused recollections. Generative writing prompts and activities will utilize both the Art Colony classroom as well as outdoor space.
