Bill Durbin, author of twelve novels and a two-time winner of the Minnesota Book Award, believes in a collaborative approach to teaching writing, and will share his expertise on a variety of topics, including planning vs. spontaneity, choosing a viewpoint, and the role of revision, among others. In addition to reviewing samples from famous novels and stories, students will practice a variety of short, in-class writing activities and participate in a collaborative review of students’ writing.
