Learn to create the wax-like look of encaustic with the durability of acrylics. Bonnie will teach students to mimic the soft, luminous effects of beeswax by applying multiple layers of acrylic paints and gels, as well as how to cut and bury paper images and stenciled patterns deep below the surface of translucent layers. Students will become familiar with encaustic-like wax formulas and give their artwork a whole new feeling.
