This class is geared towards those who are interested in painting outdoors but have never picked up a paint brush. Before heading outside, we will discuss the basic elements of plein air painting such as the appropriate materials and gear, drawing, perspective (linear as well as atmospheric), basic and descriptive forms. Time will be devoted to experimental and practical mixing of colors and values. The outdoor sessions will focus on how those elements can work together to capture a scene in paint.
