This class will explore the technique of color reduction woodcut. This process creates a multi-color print by carving the image out of a single block, with each layer of carving permanently removing part of the wood and revealing the last printed color on the paper. This technique can range from expressive and spontaneous to carefully planned, and is a fun mental challenge full of possibility. Students will enjoy finding their way in this medium and will create an editioned print.

Open Studio Times:
Wednesday Nov 8th & 15th | 9-11am
Friday Nov 15 & 17 | 9-11am
