Mobiles: Sculpting with Line and Volume (Adult)

Create a suspended, mobile-like sculpture using line and volume as your guide. Using materials such as reed, tissue paper, wire and glue, students will learn about rectangular prisms, cylinders, and positive and negative space. Everyone will create a reed framework for their sculpture that will be skinned with a tissue paper matrix. The camp will culminate in a gallery style show where friends and family will see air currents gently act on the pieces to bring them to life.

This class is being held concurrently with a youth version for ages 11+. Click here to register your young artists for the youth class.

Entry Points must meet a minimum number of students 14 days ahead of the class start date (Jul 3, 2023). Once a class has reached minimum enrollment, registration will remain open until 1 week before the class start date.
