Modular Forms: Building in Sections

Create the larger works, functional or sculptural, that you’ve always imagined and bring them to life with integrity by learning from a modular-building artist and honing handbuilding techniques. In this in-depth workshop students will use basic handbuilding techniques of coil building and pinching, while being introduced to new techniques that will push the dimensions of their work. Students will learn to build in smaller considered sections to create larger, more substantial pieces. Guided demonstrations, one-to-one discussions, and group critiques will push your concepts and skills to a new level.

Prerequisite: Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of handbuilding and relevant clay techniques.
