Youth Character Creation Camp: Use Your Imagination (Ages 6 – 9)

Mon, June 24 @ 9:00 am - Thu, June 27 @ 12:00 pm

« All Events

Do you love to draw, write, and use your imagination? This camp is for you! Join author and illustrator Nancy Carlson, who has published over 67 books, to create characters, get to know them and put them in original stories. Students will invent a character or characters and use artwork and the written word to bring them to life. Along the way we will learn about character development, storyboarding and sequential art as it works in picture books. We will discuss ways to help our imaginations grow by reading, daydreaming and turning off all electronics once in a while. Campers will share what they’ve learned and created on the final day from 12 – 12:30 pm. All parents, caregivers, and the community are invited.

All supplies and materials are provided.
