At the onset of the workshop, participants will make a two-color print from prepared blocks using: water-based pigments, kento registration, and pressing with a baren – all unique hallmarks of the mokuhanga (wood print) process dating back to 17th-century Japan. The class will then move into carving and printing an individual design (7 x 10-inch image). Mary will provide thorough demonstrations along the way and give personalized guidance.
This class must meet minimum enrollment by June 10, 2022 at 4 PM. Please register before this date to ensure your spot.
