Cris Franchevich, originally from Brazil, is an architect, urban planner, and a visual artist, living in the United States with her husband and two daughters. She is a former coordinator of the Twin Cities Urban Sketchers and is a correspondent for Urban Sketchers Brazil. Cris teaches watercolor workshops locally and abroad. She explores the urban space with the eyes of an “andarilho,” a Portuguese word meaning a wanderer discovering new territory. Gestural and intuitive, although planned, her drawings and paintings are conscientiously subjected to accidents and the unforeseen.
