Joan Farnam
Joan Farnam was born in Duluth and spent part of her childhood living in Canada. She has an MA in anthropology from California State University-East Bay. Joan began taking ceramic classes at the Duluth Art Institute in 1999 and has experience in wheel-throwing, primitive firing, raku, and majolica painting. She has been a Grand Marais Arts Festival exhibitor 2014 – 2017 and in 2017, completed a series of storytelling videos, thanks to a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council.
