Kit Eastman’s daily walks around the small city lake near her home provide a wellspring of inspiration for her colorful and contemplative textile art, mixed media drawings, and woodblock prints. Eastman enjoys showing her work locally and regionally as well as teaching techniques she has explored in her own work, such as the Japanese art of katazome (paste resist stencil dyeing). She has taught and presented at the Textile Center of Minnesota, Grand Marais Art Colony, and the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. She works from her home studio in St. Paul, Minnesota.
