Sharon Giesfeldt-van Ruiswyk
Giesfeldt-van Ruiswyk recently moved to Grand Marais from the Milwaukee area where she taught Art History and studio art courses at the University of Wisconsin—Parkside. A life-long fiber artist and trained as a metalsmith—she found herself drawn to the book arts as a graduate student. It seemed the perfect medium to bring together interests in metal type, wood engraved illustrations, historical binding techniques, and art history.
